About Belonging Matters
Why We’re Here
Therapists want to help. Yet, when it comes to social anxiety, most CEU options feel generic or surface-level. Too often, that leaves therapists guessing, and clients still stuck in shame.
At Belonging Matters, our top value is simple:
Help one more person by creating the things we wish existed.
That’s what drives every course we build and approach we take.
My Story
I’m Matt Bedell, PsyD, LPC-S, LCDC, a therapist who’s spent years in the room with clients overwhelmed by social anxiety. Time after time, I found myself wishing for resources that actually fit the complexity of what I was seeing.
Since they didn’t exist, I decided to make them.
Why We’re Different
If you just want the cheapest way to rack up CEUs, sites like CE4Less will get the job done. But those courses are built for compliance, not transformation.
Belonging Matters trainings are:
Specialized — focused on shame and social anxiety.
Trauma-informed — grounded in ACT, exposure, and compassion.
Human — created by a therapist, not a CEU factory.
Impact-driven — designed so your clients feel the change, not just your CE tracker.
Cheap CEUs are fast food. These courses are carefully prepared training meant to nourish your practice and your clients.
What We Offer
For Therapists
1–2 hour trainings with Honor Pricing (pay what you can).
6-hour courses (future project, TBD — if you’d be excited for this, let me know and squeak those wheels so I can give them some grease).
20–24 hour certification (future project, TBD — same deal, the more squeaks I hear, the faster I can grease this one too).
The deeper you go, the more confident and equipped you’ll feel in helping your clients move from shame to belonging.
